Coffee has become so popular worldwide. Whatever might be the occasion people choose coffee first. It has many advantages of relaxing the mind and enhancing the mood but when it is taken in a considerable amount.

Whenever we get into a cafe, the names of coffee drinks fascinate us and confuse us as well. We sometimes don’t understand it’s composition and get into a dilemma. Here is clear cut information about some of the famous and regularly heard coffee drinks. (a regular cup)

Generally, coffee is made using freshly roasted and ground coffee beans of either Arabica or Robusta.

Main base of every coffee drink is espresso and it is the main drink as well.

  • Espresso: its place of origin is Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น. It is made using pasteurized water passed through the ground coffee. High concentration of coffee shot is produced. It contains 1 shot of espresso.
  • Americano: Its place of origin is Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น. It contains 1 shot of espresso + 3 ounces of hot water.
  • Macchiato: Its place of origin is Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น. It contains 1 shot of espresso + 1 to 2 tea spoons of steamed milk.
  • Cappuccino: Its place of origin is Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น. It contains 1 to 2 shots of espresso + 2 ounces of steamed milk + 2 ounces of foamed milk + foam.
  • Latte: Its place of origin is Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น. It contains 1 shot of espresso + 8 to 10 ounces of steamed milk + 1cm of foam or whipped cream.
  • Mocha: Its place of origin is Yemen ๐Ÿ‡พ๐Ÿ‡ช. It contains 1 shot of espresso + 1 to 2 ounces of chocolate powder/syrup + 1 to 3 ounces of steamed milk + 2 to 3 cm of foam/ whipped cream.
  • Iced coffee: Its place of origin is Algeria ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฟ. It contains 2 shots of espresso + 4 ounces of ice + 4 to 6 ounces of milk/ water + flavouring syrup (optional).
  • Frappe: Its place of origin is Greece๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท. It contains 3 shots of espresso + 5 to 8 ounces of milk + ice + chocolate syrup + foam/whipped cream.
