Pringles are the perfect round and crunchier chips. These were made by Procter & Gamble (P&G) in 1967.
The company doesn’t consider it as a potato chip but instead a crunchier snack.
Pringles are not totally potato chips but a mixture of fine parts of rice, wheat, corn and potato. Only 42% of potato is used in the making. The mixture is then pressed into round shape and deep fried, seasoned and then deep fried.
This is the reason for perfect shaped , good looking chips in the box of Pringles containing less amount of gas too.
As they are not made of 100% potato, they are not qualified as potato chips.
